Early summer is very nice for hiking. Late in summer it becomes hot. There are nice places around the Rockies you can camp and hike, but usually these places are crowded. So I mostly enjoy shorter hikes in more tolerable weather. Having a dog will further shrink this tolerable temperature range, as they can’t sweat and maintain their body temperature as efficient as we do. So I fill some of these empty days with projects. Summary of my summer projects follows:
